The Art Show

Every two years in Paris an art show is held for one week.  It is called the XXVth Biennale des Antiquaries and is held near in the Grand Palais. There is a similar or companion show nearby which Fred took a picture of the poster for.

It  is made up of gallery owners from all over the world, each gallery having their own display room.  We think it would be fun to go and maybe buy a print or two.  What we do not realize is that this is a show for millionaires and billionaires and that there are more Matisses, Van Goghs, Renoirs and any other major artist you can think of, hanging on the walls than in any museum.  All being sold to private collectors.  Who were there buying and haggling. This is no Clothesline Festival. We feel a little out of place, but it is a fun walk.

Since we are so close to Pont Alexandre, we walk around it, enjoying the Seine and its beautiful architecture.
